Lord Death's Wife

Lord Death did not like how he looked. At only the biological age of 19, he had taken his own father's place. He felt like the public shouldn't see his true form. He was always a little on the heavy side. So he made himself a huge cloak and a mask. When Asura was silenced, he started this school at around the time he would have been 25. He was a lot older than that, but that's what his outer appearance looked like.

After about 750 years, he changed his mask, but he had gotten fatter and uglier. He hid himself at all times...until he met one young death scythe who peaked his interests; (name).

Lord Death  stopped wearing his cloak and mask and revealed what he really looked like, but only in private. He has long dark hair and red eyes and blue pupils. The young scythe girl that he had seen came by rather often now, but he never knew why because he hated the way his body looked.

(Name) made her way to his office, when his guard was down. He saw her a bit embarrassed because of the way he looked, but her gave her a friendly smile as she came in.

She gasped, for she hadnt seen him like this.

"Hello, (name). What can I help you with?" He asked, sitting on his throne  trying to suck his gut in.

" oh I was just checking in and making sure everything was alright, sir." she said as she took a step back thinks to her self 'oh my gosh maybe this wasn't such a good time. '

"Im fine, (name). Just a little upset is all..." He said, scoffing at his weight.

"Why?" She asked.

"I've never liked how I looked.

"why not.? You look great to me." she said kindly

He laughed. "How can I?" He said, motioning to his body.

She shrugged. " I've always had a bit of a thing for guys with a little bit of weight on them" she replied meekly,

He shot his head up quickly. "Come have a drink we me, (name)."

And thus was the beginning of their relationship. He knew she'd age much much faster than he would, but he didnt care. He loved her and that was all that mattered.

Time skip: 4 years later

(Name) was now 24 years old and had just found out that she was pregnant with the future reaper. She had married Lord Death a year ago and was now his wife. She had not told him yet.

One day while the two were sitting together he had noticed a little baby bump on her, but didn't say anything.

"Dear....I have something to tell you...." He held her close and placed a hand gently on her belly. "My suspicions are correct, aren't they? You're pregnant."

(name) nodded " yes. I was wanting to tell you sooner, but I just didnt know how to put it...."

He smiled, lifting her chin. "I love you, silly. I wouldn't be mad if that was what was worrying you. You know I love kids. Now I'm happy to have one of my own." He kissed her forehead and cuddled her into his large, fat body.

Time skip: 1 year later

Shinigami children take longer in gestation and today was the day that Lord Death's baby boy was born.

The adult shinigami held his son in his arms, cuddling him into his tummy. (Name) held his hand.

"I want to name him after his father." She said bluntly. She had just gave birth to a demigod so she was pretty tired.

"Then his name will be Death the kid, but we can call him Kid."

He handed her back the baby. "I'd like that." She said, cradling the little one. She noted that he had 3 stripes in his hair, like his father, but only halfway,  and thought it was adorable. She kissed them and said, "Hi baby, Kid. I'm your mommy. I love you."

Little baby kid opened his eyes for the first time looking up at her and his daddy, reaching up to them a little.

Time skip: 50 years later

Today was a remorseful day for Kid and Lord Death; it was the anniversary of (name)'s death.

The two knelt down placing flowers on her grave in silence.

Lord Death remembered this day like it was yesterday. It was only 2 years ago. You see, shinigamis age only 1 year for each hundred after they hit age 15.

Ever since then, each day on kid's birthday the two would go visit her grave.

Kid was now 50 years old, very young for a shinigami. As the years passed, he watched his mother age. People would ask if she was his grandmother. Kid remembered the moment she died when he sat the flowers on her grave.



(Flashback)
Lord Death held his elderly wife's hand. He still only looked about 35, but she was almost 100 now. He knew she was dying, but he couldn't stop it. Death was a natural thing. The only thing he could do now was to take her soul to salvation once she stopped breathing. He had gotten even fatter at almost 380 pounds, but (name) reassured him that he was fine. Soon, within minutes, he wouldn't have anyone to tell him that he was good looking or that they loved him intimately.

"Mommy! Please don't leave me!" Kid cried, looking only 16 years old.

She looked at him " Mommy loves you very much. I'll always be with you, Kid. I love you and your father so much." and with that said, she closed her eyes and she was dead.

"No...." Lord Death said, falling to his knees. "DAMMIT NO!!!!!!" He punched a huge hole in the floor. Kid got up in the bed with her and cried, holding onto her. Lord Death finally got up, wiping the tears from his eyes and sat on the bed next to her. He cupped her face and said,

"And I'll always love you, my dear. Till the end of time." Her bright blue soul popped out of her chest. Lord Death held it in his hands, kissing it. He encircled it with black and let her soul move on to the heavens. She was now at peace. Kid jumped into his father's arms, crying like a child. Lord Death held him, kissed (name)'s body's forehead, and covered her with the sheet.

Present time:

Kid shivered remembering that day and had tears in his eyes as he looked at his father.

His father removed the mask and knelt to the grave. He had lost some of the weight he had put on with (name) around, probably because no one cooked better than she did. He kissed the tombstone.

"Hello, (name). We can to visit you."

Kid knelt down beside him. "We wish you could see how much the DWMA has changed since you've been gone. You'd love it here. We miss you, hope you're doing well in heaven."

Kid kissed his fingers and placed them on the tombstone. "I love you, mommy...." He said, before standing up. "I'll meet you in the car." He said to his father before leaving. Lord Death stayed behind. He needed some more time with her.

He bowed his head down leaving a moment of silence for her.

Sitting on the tombstone was (name)'s spirit. She placed a ghostly hand on his arm. He looked up and smiled. She was stunningly beautiful; looking like she did in her 20's.  

"I love you (name). When Kid takes over soon, I'll join you." Her spirit smiled and kissed his head, whispering, "Until that day comes, know that I'm always here, waiting."

"I love you too, Shinigami-Sama...."
